ClereSpan mezzanines provide full utilization of both floor-level and platform-level space with no cross bracing between support columns. ClereSpan systems provide flexibility, allowing you to change or expand designs to meet evolving needs.

Standard Bearing Design

This popular and economical design uses 5" x 5" columns on 10" x 10" base plates.

Primary framing members mount within nesting channels directly on top of columns. Nesting channels are factory welded to the columns. Connections create rigid joints, requiring only self-tapping screws to hold the framing member in the nesting channel.

Bolted Bearing Design

The Bolted Bearing Design provides all the benefits of the Standard Bearing Design with the addition of 1/2" diameter high-strength framing bolts for use in projects where bolted connections are needed.

Typically Bolted Bearing Designs use 6" x 6" columns on 12" x 12" base plates for maximum rigidity and strength.

Bolted Bar Joist Design

For situations where wider column spacing and additional floor space is demanded, the Bolted Bar Joist Design is the solution.

Bar joists mount on top of stringer beams and columns simplifying installation. High-strength 1/2" diameter bolts on all joists and girder connections ensure maximum strength.

The open-web design of a bar joist mezzanine permits duct work, sprinkler lines, electrical lines, and lighting fixtures to be easily recessed within the depth of the bar joist, eliminating overhead obstructions and increasing the usable clear height.
